If you have an US GreenCard, you can travel to Guatemala without needing a Visa. However, you MUST present your physical US Green Card when traveling without a Guatemalan Visa. No additional stamp is required as long as you have your valid passport and the American Green Card. US Green Cards extensions are not allowed, you should request Guatemalan visa before traveling.

Entry authorization to Guatemalan territory is not solely determined by visas, it also depends on the discretion of Guatemala's immigration authorities.
We highly recommend all applicants to start the process about 4 weeks ahead of the intended travel dates.
VISAS
Fee: US$ 50.00 for a single entry / US$150.00 multiple entries We only accept Money Orders (available at bank, post office, convenience store, etc.)
Visa applications are accepted only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Passports are returned only on Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m.
Applicants must appear in person with a folder containing all the required documents.
The required photograph must be stapled to the visa application form, which must be fully completed prior to arriving at the Consulate.
VISA APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

No one may accompany a visa applicant to an interview unless the applicant is a minor incapable of communicating in any language spoken by the Consulate staff without the assistance of a certified interpreter, or in need of physical assistance.

You must present a valid passport with a validity of a least six months beyond your intended period of stay in Guatemala.

-Bank statements (last 3 months)
-1 color photo -passport sized (2x2). The required photograph must be stapled to the visa application form, which must be fully completed prior to arriving at the Consulate.
-Statement letter indicating reason for traveling, must include address in the USA and phone numbers. (If this a business travel, present a letter from the company indicating the purpose of the trip).
-Employment verification letter / studies verification letter, Unofficial transcript of your College - University-
-Flight itinerary and hotel reservation
-Contact phone numbers of the person in Guatemala, you can provide the hotel contact information
In order to ensure that your passport and visa are not given to an unauthorized person, you must present a government-issued photo ID for identification when you collect your passport. If someone besides you pick up your passport, your representative - even in case of family members - must present Their own original government-issued photo ID for identification, a photocopy of your government-issued photo ID, a letter of authority, signed by you, authorizing your representative to collect your passport.
